Neuro Mints Review Summary
Neuro Mints presents itself as more than a simple energy supplement. The products have names like “Energy and Focus”, which suggests that it is a nootropic as well as a caffeine supplement. But in reality, Neuro Mints aren’t even a good caffeine supplement, let alone a good nootropic. Each serving of Neuro Mints gives us a reasonable dose of basic caffeine and a very low 120mg dose of theanine. In other words, Neuro Mints gives you everything you can get from two cups of black tea, but the former is a lot more expensive.
What are Neuro Mints?
This is our Neuro Mints review. Neuro Mints are made by the same company which created Neuro Energy Gum. Similar to Neuro Gum, Neuro Mints are claimed to promote:
- A kick of energy
- Energy without jitters
- A healthy source of caffeine
- Mental Endurance and Mental Focus
- Clarity of Mind and Serotonin
But how effective is it really? We look closer at this energy supplement in mint forms to see how effective it really is.
You’ll learn more about the ingredients, dosages, side effects, reviews and general questions people have about these energy supplements.
Neuro Mints are vegan, gluten-free, aspartame-free and sugar energy supplements which claim to boost focus and energize you.
Neuro Mints are brought to you by the same team who created Neuro Gum.
They are believed to be an adequate replacement to coffee, as they contain caffeine and can help you focus. It is worth saying here that, when comparing caffeine pills to coffee, it is worth considering the pros and cons of both. You should not be taking both caffeine pills (or mints) and coffee in any 24 hour period.
Neuro Mints Dosage: How many can you take at a time?
It is recommended that you take up to two Neuro Mints per serving. This delivers approximately 80 mg of natural caffeine which is roughly just under the amount you would get in one cup of coffee.
If you want to get a similar caffeine rush that you would get from a cup of coffee, a person should consume two Neuro mints instead of a coffee.
Neuro Mints Ingredients: What’s in these Caffeine Mints?
The full active ingredient list of Neuro Mints Energy & Focus includes:
- Natural Green Tea Caffeine – 40 mg
- L-Theanine – 60 mg
- Vitamin B6 – 60% DV
- Vitamin B12 – 100% DV
It is currently available in two flavors: peppermint and cinnamon.
As you can see, this is a very small ingredient list. There’s only 4 ingredients in Energy & Focus, and has also been noted to be vegan-friendly as well as sugar and aspartame free.
But is this enough for this energy supplement to give you the boost of energy you may be looking for?
Below, we look closer at the ingredients in this energy supplement to see how effective this energy product is for delivering that much needed burst of energy.
Natural Green Tea Caffeine
Note: This is not Green Tea. This is the caffeine boost that is found in Green Tea.
Why does this matter? It’s Neuro Mints way of telling you that the caffeine in this energy supplement is all natural.
The effects of caffeine can help in numerous ways. It promotes energy, focus, power output – in short, there’s a reason any energy supplement / energy drink favors caffeine.
And how does caffeine work?
The caffeine effect helps to block the adenosine receptor in your brain. Adenosine is a substance that makes you feel sleepy. By blocking your brain’s receptor to adenosine, it dramatically reduces your ability to feel sleepy and helps you avoid an energy slump.
But is 40 mg enough in Neuro Mints? At 40 mg of Natural Caffeine, Neuro Mints provides a little less than half of your average cup of coffee when it comes to caffeine. It depends on preference, but if you want the same energy boost as a cup of coffee, you may have to take more than one Neuro Mint.
With a recommendation of 2 mints per serving, you may get just under the amount of caffeine you get from a standard cup of coffee.
L-Theanine
This is a great ingredient in Neuro Mints and one that can really help out when it comes to brain health benefit.
L-Theanine is the primary amino acid that is commonly found in green tea – and it works incredibly well with caffeine. That’s because this amino acid can help enhance your brain’s alpha brainwaves and neurotransmitters like serotonin. The main benefit of theanine is that it mitigates the side effects of caffeine. Taking theanine and caffeine in a 2:1 ratio is optimal for enhancing caffeine while assuaging negative effects.
This can help put you in a state of calm relaxation while still raising your attention and alertness. The result is that the relaxation health benefit can help calm the excitory properties of the caffeine. This allows you to retain the energy and stimulation from the caffeine – but reduce the overall jitters and energy crashes that usually follow it.
It’s a healthy ingredient in Neuro Mints and really the main active ingredient in this product that helps with the “neuro” side of these mints.
By managing the caffeine jitter as well, L-Theanine as the primary amino acid in Neuro Mints is a great ingredient for enhancing focus.
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 offers some benefit in Neuro Mints. It may help mood, brain health and numerous other aspects of health. However, Vitamin B6 seems to have the best neurological benefits when combined with Vitamin B9 and B12.
Unfortunately there is only Vitamin B12 in here. Neuro Mints are missing a huge opportunity not including Vitamin B9 in here.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is the usual go-to vitamin for an energy boost. Vitamin B12 is used for energy level production in your body. If you’re deficient in Vitamin B12, supplementing it may help to deliver balanced energy.
It could help to improve your energy and focus – but only if you are low in your levels of Vitamin B12.
Missed Opportunity: Vitamin B9
Neuro Mints could’ve had significantly more health and brain benefits if it included Vitamin B9.
The reason being that when combined, B6, B9 and B12 have a synergy together which helps to reduce your overall levels of homocysteine.
When your homocysteine levels are high, you’re more at risk of cognitive decline, brain aging and generally poor blood flow to your brain. With B6, B9 and B12 all on board, they can help optimize homocysteine metabolism to a healthy range to improve overall mental focus.
It’s a real shame Vitamin B9 isn’t in this energy and focus supplement.
Formula Summary: Do Neuro Mints function as a good Coffee Alternative?
Do Neuro Mints function as chewable coffee? If you’re just looking for something to do the job of coffee then yes.
Neuro Mints contains caffeine balanced out by L-Theanine and some B Vitamins. You won’t get a coffee jitter, coffee breath, or any other downsides that you get from cups of coffee – but you also won’t get the flavor or the same relaxed experience.
Nutritionally stronger, but much less enjoyable. But does that mean it’s good for cognition?
If you want to go further than coffee and want the brain health benefits – there’s a lot better options than Neuro Mints. For starters this is just caffeine and L-Theanine with some vitamin Bs thrown in – and not all the Vitamin Bs needed to reduce homocysteine.
There’s a lot that could be improved here. Several main cognition boosting ingredients like citicoline, phosphatidylserine, Bacopa Monnieri and more are definitely missing from this energy mint.
Better than coffee (on paper)? Yes. Better than a nootropic / brain supplement? No.
Neuro Mints Side Effects
Neuro Mints has not been linked to causing any negative side effects. All the ingredients are clearly labelled, and none have been linked to causing negative side effects when used at these dosages.
It’s unlikely that you’ll experience any issues from this clean energy supplement.
Are Neuro Mints Safe?
Neuro Mints are safe to use for most people. They only contain a small amount of caffeine, L-Theanine and Vitamin B. These active ingredients shouldn’t be enough at these dosages to cause side effects.
However, we are not medical doctors – and none of this should count as medical advice. If you are concerned about Neuro Mints side effects, you should approach your doctor or medical professional about Neuro Mints side effects to see if it is a safe option for you to use.

Neuro Mints Review Summary: Good For Energy and a Caffeine Obsession?
Neuro Mints does have some good ingredients when it comes to improving mind health, focus and productivity.
It’s better than a cup of coffee – but it’s not better than most of the other mind and brain supplements out there on the market.
If you’re looking for something that will effectively raise productivity and give you that powerful source of caffeine, there are better options out there on the market.
This is especially true of specialist nootropic energy supplements. There are a small number of extremely effective, high-quality, safe supplements on the market today which act as both nootropics and energy boosters. Think caffeine pills but with added brain boosters.
We recommend choosing any of the best caffeine pills over Neuro Mints any day of the week.
