Neuroflexyn Review Summary
Neuroflexyn is not the potent nootropic that it makes itself out to be. While Neuroflexyn promises to enhance every aspect of cognitive performance, we don’t think it’s capable of helping your brain perform better in any way whatsoever. The decent serving of Huperzine A will give you an immediate boost in focus, but that’s about all you can expect from Neuroflexyn. Low doses and dud ingredients abound in this formula. Better nootropics are available, especially given the price of Neuroflexyn.
What is Neuroflexyn?
Neuroflexyn is a nootropic supplement made by Perform Vita, a company with an address registered in Los Angeles. They only have one product and no working website, so it’s safe to assume this is a shell company.
According to the Neuroflexyn bottle, this nootropic is designed to provide the following benefits:
- Clearer mental vision
- Increased focus and concentration
- Heightened attention
- Improved memory
The bottle describes Neuroflexyn as a “powerful 4-in-1 formula”.
These are all very generic claims we’ve heard hundreds of times before. Pretty much all of the nootropics you see sold on Amazon claims to be the best nootropic that really works.
But of course we know that few nootropics really give you any of the benefits they promise on their bottles! The question is, can Neuroflexyn actually deliver?
Does Neuroflexyn really work? What are the active ingredients? Is it a good nootropic for you? Is it safe? Will it cause side effects? Read our full Neuroflexyn review below to find out!

Below is a quick overview of what each Neuroflexyn ingredient is, what it does, and whether or not it helps with cognitive performance.
“Brain Blend” – 450mg
The NeuroFlexyn “Brain Blend” consists of two ingredients: Bacopa monnieri extract and Picamilon. This is a strange combination! Bacopa monnieri is a fantastic natural nootropic. Studies show that it greatly improves memory function in as little as 8 weeks, with the largest effects seen in older people with mild cognitive impairment and memory loss.
Picamilon is a simple combination of niacin and GABA. It is taken as a prodrug to GABA; we know that supplementing with GABA is ineffective, so picamilon is supposed to be a more effective alternative. Unfortunately, it isn’t! About 80% of consumed Picamilon is excreted as niacin and GABA, making it practically pointless to take orally.
Phosphatidylcholine – 200mg
This is a very strange thing to see on the NeuroFlexyn ingredients list, or on any nootropic ingredients list for that matter. Phosphatidylcholine is an important neurochemical. It is a major component of brain cell membranes; all cell membranes for that matter. While having more phosphatidylcholine is definitely beneficial for brain health, there is no evidence that taking phosphatidylcholine orally raises phosphatidylcholine levels in the brain; the compound is unlikely to cross the blood brain barrier, otherwise the brain would lose precious phospholipids!
DMAE Bitartrate – 125mg
DMAE is a cholinergic, although unlike most cholinergics it does not actually contain any choline. Rather it seems to work by speeding up the production of acetylcholine in the brain. DMAE is not a great nootropic. Not only is it extremely unreliable – with some users getting no benefit from DMAE use – but it is also known to cause severe side effects. The 125mg of DMAE we get from Neuroflexyn is a huge dose, so side effects are likely!
Eleuthero Extract – 100mg
Eleuthero Root is more commonly known as Siberian Ginseng, and it is widely used in variious different types of supplement, from male enhancement pills to nootropics like Neuroflexyn. There is some evidence that this ingredient acts as adaptogen, which means it improves your ability to deal with stress. Studies have found that use of this ingredient helps reduce anxiety. However, the 100mg we get in neuroflexyn is not a large dose.
Omega 3 Complex – 100mg
The Neuroflexyn omega 3 complex is, frankly, pathetic. For starters, 100mg of even a top quality omega 3 oil is a tiny dose; good omega 3 supplements will provide about 1-2g of omega 3 fatty acids! To make things worse, the “fish oil” in Neuroflexyn is 6% EPA and 4% DHA. This is terrible by any standard. The best nootropics which use omega 3s use high-DHA oils, as this is the fat most beneficial to brian performance.
GABA – 100mg
GABA is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the human central nervous system. In plain English, that means that GABA is responsible for recucing CNS activity, thereby reducing brain activity, relaxing the body, and reducing anxiety. Alcohol acts on GABA receptors, which is why alcohol is so soothing and anxiety-reducing. However, taking GABA orally does not lead to higher GABA levels in the CNS. Instead, almost all of the GABA you take orally is passed out in your urine. This is therefore a completely useless Neuroflexyn ingredient.
Ginkgo Biloba – 60mg
Ginkgo biloba is a proven nootropic and a great supplement for promoting overall brain health. Ginkgo biloba works by incresing blood flow to the brain. Greater blood flow in the brain means more oxygen and nutrients get delivered to your brain cells, which means enhanced cognitive performance. There are dozens of clinical trials backing this up – Ginkgo biloba supplementation improves focus, learning, and mental energy. The 60mg in Neuroflexyn is a standard dose and is definitely effective when used long-term.
Alpha Lipoic Acid – 50mg
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a naturally occurring compound with potent antioxidant properties. It is vital for aerobic metabolism, which is why it is so often found in natural energy supplements as well as some nootropics. Unfortunately, there is no good evidence that ALA has any meaningful effect on mental performance or brain health over the long term. This is also another Neuroflexyn ingredient which has been given a tiny dose – so small as to be totally pointless!
Vinpocetine – 5mg
Vinpocetine is a great natural nootropic. This ingredient has become a lot less popular in recent years. It is not surprising to see it as an ingredient in Neuroflexyn, as this nootropic came out several years ago when vinpocetine was more popular. Vinpocetine has several proposed mechanisms of action. Some say it works by preventing oxidative damage to brain cells. Others say it works by increasing blood flow in the brain. The likely answer is that it does both! Each serving of Neuroflexyn gives us 5mg of Vinpocetine, which is plenty to see benefits.
Huperzine A – 100mcg
Huperzine A is easily one of the fastest-acting natural nootropics. Withint an hour of taking Huperzine A, most users experience a dramatic increase in focus and concentration. Most users describe an intense ‘tunnel-vision’ like focus after taking Huperzine A. This is because this ingredient causes a rapid build up of acetylcholine in the brain.
The only problem with Huperzine A is the fact it invariably causes side effects when used daily. This ingredient needs cycling, which reduces the effectiveness of other Neuroflexyn ingredients. More on this later!
Neuroflexyn Formula Analysis: Is it a good nootropic?
There are a lot of things about the Neuroflexyn formula that we strongly dislike. These problems – taken together – make Neuroflexyn a very low quality nootropic not worth the price tag or the side effect risks.
For starters, Neuroflexyn contains ingredients with no proven nootropic effects.
Alpha Lipioic Acid does nothing for cognitive performance. Taking GABA orally is pointless. About 80% of the Picamilon you consume passes out the body unused. Phosphatidylcholine does nothing for focus or memory when consumed orally – it does not cross the blood-brain barrier.
That is a significant portion of the Neuroflexyn ingredients list contributing nothing to better mental performance or brain health.
Of course, Neuroflexyn does contain some really good ingredients; nootropics which have been soundly proven in clinical studies to work. However, the doses used are questionable, and the effectiveness of things like Eleuthero Root Extract are open to debate. You aren’t going to see serious improvements in focus or memory from this ingredient, nor from DMAE.
To make it all worse, there’s the Neuroflexyn side effects to worry about!
If you are looking for a supplement to enhance yourn overall cognitive performance while looking after your brain, there are better nootropics out there than Neuroflexyn!
Neuroflexyn Side Effects: Is it safe?
There are a number of serious side effect risks to consider before you start using Neuroflexyn nootropic. We think it is highly likely that a significant number of users will experience Neuroflexyn side effects.
The main side effects you will get from Neuroflexyn come from the use of Huperzine A. Huperzine A causes a rapid build up of acetylcholine in the brain by blocking the enzyme which normally destroys the neurotransmitter. This leads to sharper focus, fasting thinking, and quicker reaction times. But too much acetylcholine can clog up your neurons, causing the following side effects:
- Headaches
- Confusion
- Loss of focus
- Poor memory
- Low mood
- Methargy
- Muscle cramps
It is therefore wise to take regular breaks from Neuroflexyn to allow your body to get rid of the Huperzine A and the excess acetylcholine.
Neuroflexyn Review Conclusion: Is it any good?
Does Neuroflexyn really work?
Unfortunately not as well as advertised!
Neuroflexyn contains some completely useless ingredients which do nothing to enhance focus, memory or mental clarity. GABA is not absorbed by the body when consumed, and it certainly doesn’t readily cross the blood-brain barrier. Most of the Picamilon you consume is passed out in urine. Other Neuroflexyn ingredients do ver little for mental performance.
Coupled with the side effect risks from the Huperzine A, what we have here is a poor nootropic supplement.
Neuroflexyn promises a wide range of benefits, from bettr memory, focus and learning to long-term brain health support. But in reality, it delivers almost none of these benefits.
If you want a genuinely effective nootropic which doesn’t cause side effects, there are products on the market right now for you. They just aren’t Neuroflexyn!
