Alpha Brain Instant Review Summary
Alpha Brain Instant is really no different to the standard Alpha Brain stack which uses capsules. It is just a different way of taking a serving of the stack where you dissolve a flavored powder in water instead of swallwing 2 capsules. Just like Alpha Brain, the Instant version is low dosed in key areas and highly unlikely to deliver meaningful or lasting improvements in cognitive function. There are better nootropics you can buy today.
Alpha Brain Instant Review: What is this supplement?
Alpha Brain Instant is a relatively new Onnit supplement. While it may look like a brandnew release, it is actually just a new form of the standard Alpha Brain nootropic stack, taken as a powder rather than as capsules.
Unlike the capsules, Alpha Brain Instant comes in a range of flavors which you dissolve in water and drink. The formula is identical to Onnit’s main nootropic, so the mode of taking it is the only difference.
Because the formula is the same, so are the claimed benefits:
- Improved memory function
- Better focus, learning and concentration
- Help getting into a ‘flow state’
- Promotes lucid dreaming
- Reduces stress and anxiety
But what we need to find out is, can Alpha Brain Instant really do all of this?
In the review below we look at the ingredients, dosages, potential side effects, costs, and more to see if Alpha Brain instant really works.
Alpha Brain Instant Ingredients
As already stated, Instant has the same ingredients in Alpha Brain capsules.
The Flow Blend contains 1,150 mg per packet. This is a substantial increase from the 650 mg found in a 2-capsule portion. A single sachet contains 71 mg Fuel Blend, while a capsule contains 65 mg.
These small additions make a huge difference in effectiveness. The components of the Onnit Blends remain the same.
Here’s a list of the ingredients:
- Vitamin B6 (10 mg)
- Ac-11 Cat’s Claw Extract (355 mg)
- Onnit Focus Blend (240mg) targets optimal levels of acetylcholine.
- Alpha GPC, Huperzia Serrata, Bacopa monnieri Extract.
- Onnit Fuel Mix (71 mg) protects nerve cells and promotes cellular integrity.
- L-Leucine, Pterostilbene, BioPerine Black Pepper (fruit) Extract, Vincopetine
- Onnit Flow Blend (1.150 mg) contains amino acids that aid in the production of alpha waves. Ac-11 supports this blend.
- L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine. Oat straw extract. Phosphatidylserine improves memory and L-Theanine allows relaxation.
One sachet of Onnit Alpha Brain Instant should be used. You can mix it with other beverages. The product tastes best when iced.
You can easily take it with you everywhere. It can be used at work and school, without it being noticed by anyone.
You may experience side effects if you take it with other supplements, such as energy drinks. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have or suspect any medical condition or are taking any medication, consult a doctor before you take this product.
To keep the ingredients in Alpha Brain Instant active, you must keep it in a dry and cool place. Keep it out of reach of children.
One sachet Of Onnit Alpha Brain Instant must be taken along with 8 ounces water. This drink mix must be consumed after eating a light meal. After consumption, do not consume more than one sachet.
If you are 200 pounds or less, you can consume 2 oz of 1 tbsp daily. One ounce should not be consumed by anyone weighing less than 180 pounds. To avoid allergic reactions, do not consume more than the recommended amount.
This supplement is not designed to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.
Onnit’s nootropics are safe because they contain only natural ingredients. Although the powdered form is generally safe, side effects can still occur.
Side effects can be severe depending on many factors, including age, genetics and pre-existing conditions, interactions with other medications, and the amount of medication taken.
Although side effects of Alpha Brain Instant are uncommon, here are eight Alpha Brain adverse effects to watch out for:
- Stomach cramps.
These side effects have all been reported by more than one user of Alpha Brain Instant. They are rare and usually dissipate when the person stops taking the nootropic powder.
Instant is not a dietary supplement that has been evaluated by FDA (Food and Drug Administration). It is not intended to diagnose or treat any disease. You must follow the recommended dosage to be safe.

Is Alpha Brain Instant Safe?
Generally, yes. Onnit Alpha Brain Instant can be safely used as all ingredients have been clinically proven to be safe. The ingredients rarely cause any side effects whatsoever aside from mild digestive discomfort. The Banned Substances Control Group has confirmed that it is free of harmful substances.
This proprietary blend isn’t transparent about the exact dosages. It is possible that some of these ingredients will be excessively dosed, but we doubt it. Much more likely that the most potent ingredients are low dosed! People may also be allergic to certain ingredients.
It can be used safely if you follow the instructions on the label.
Alpha Brain Instant Peach and Other Flavors
Alpha Brain Instant comes in five flavors. Alpha Brain Instant Peach is available in Blackberry Lemonade Meyer Lemon, Pineapple Punch and Coconut Lime.
You can’t buy the Alpha Brain Instant Peach flavor in packets. Online reviews show five-star ratings. Many people love Alpha Brain Instant peach flavor.
Alpha Brain Instant vs. Capsules
While the ingredients are identical, there are some differences between Onnit’s supplement.
Alpha Brain Instant is for those who prefer an alternative to the original formula. You can choose from a variety of flavors and packets to make a sweetened beverage. It dissolves in water and other beverages easily as a powdered beverage.
The ingredients are much more concentrated in the blends than the capsules. Because the blends are solvent-based, it is easy to absorb the nutrients.
Conclusion: Is Alpha Brain Instant any good?
Overall, Alpha Brain Instant is no different to regular Alpha Brain Memory & Focus. It is just delivered in a different way.
Because it is no different to the capsules in how it works or the effects it has on cognitive performance, I have to say that Alpha Brain Instant is a huge waste of money.
The formula is weak, with key ingredients like Bacopa monnieri and L-Tyrosine left extremely under-dosed.
The Alpha-GPC and Huperzine A stack will increase focus and concentration for a couple of hours, and the other ingredients will help control anxiety. But the effects are always going to be transient and relatively mild compared to some of the best natural nootropics around right now.
Considering that each bottle – both as Instant and original Alpha Brain Memory and Focus capsules – is about $75 for a month’s supply, we really don’t think it’s worth buying this nootropic stack.
NooCube, for example, contains all of the best ingredients in Alpha Brain, but with optimal doses, no filler ingredients, and extra cognitive enhancers to round it all off. Best of all, it costs $29.99 a bottle when you buy 3 of them.
